Persona 3 Reload Mock Shirt
A mock shirt designed for the game Persona 3 Reload using glitch art.
Process
The design began with taking official artwork from the game and fundamentally breaking its code to glitch it in an audio program called Audacity. I learned this technique from a YouTube channel called Kindred Cameras.
First, the official art is converted to a .tif file in Photoshop and imported into Audacity. Afterward, the image is glitched by highlighting the timeline and adding a filter curve effect based on previous glitch notes.
Previous glitch tests on several pieces of official art. Essential to understanding the statistics needed to replicate glitches or alter a glitch.
Preliminary shirt design using second glitch attempt.
Final Design Process
1. The final glitch is placed directly on the mockup in Photoshop to create a composition. The image is flipped and rotated from the original official art to mimic the previous shirt's composition.
2. A gradient is added to the glitch to mimick brand colors.
3. A mask is added to the glitch and is trimmed using an airbrush eraser.
4. Using layer styles in Photoshop, whites are removed, isolating the darkest colors of the official art to create a solid graphic.
5. The new graphic is trimmed and added on top of the edited glitch.
6. Final touches are erased to the glitches' mask, creating highlights on the character's clothes and hair. A logo is added to compliment the composition.
7. Grain is added to a gradient background to complete the final design.
Passing Grade Band Tee
Freelance merch T-shirt for the band, Passing Grade. Below is the final design.
Process
Main design starts with recycled public-domain art by Egbert van Drielst. The whites are knocked out and a gradient map is added.
Typography and faded edges are added using an airbrush and layer mask in Photoshop. The final design is then bitmapped and ready for screenprint.

Where we're you?
A personal hoodie design project. A commentary about how both positive and negative experiences are passed down through generations, starting with a young grandad (the subject).
Mindmap/ Story
1. I start with a mindmap where I explore preliminary ideas and make the best into a list.
2. I note the feelings I want my piece's story to express.
3. I write one sentence that describes my story, "I found my grandad's diary when he was young. Why'd he ever disappear?".
Moodboard
Next, I find concrete visuals based on the writing exercises. This is the visual mood I want for my piece, including specific inspiration from a brand called "Enfants Riches Déprimés" (on the right).
Asset Collection
I choose public-domain images from Unsplash that invoke my story and tones.
Artmaking Process
1. I create my composition with collage and masking.
2. I add effects like threshold, blur, typography, and texture.
3. The black colors are isolated and converted to bitmaps for screenprint.
